CASA Third Party

Brand Guidelines

As a nonprofit organization, we are obligated by law to ensure that all third party fundraisers conducted on our behalf are carried out in a manner consistent with the regulations of the IRS and the State of Florida Department of Agriculture/Consumer Services. In order for that to occur, we ask for your support and cooperation in the following the guidelines listed below:

1. The event must be appropriate to CASA’s mission and preserve the CASA name.

2. All fundraising should be done on behalf of CASA. Inc and CASA’s 501C3 may not be used to solicit donations.

3. All publicity must state what net proceeds or flat amount are being contributed to CASA.

Proceeds raised should be submitted to CASA within 30 days of the event or activity.

4.The sponsoring group or organization will assume the cost of event or activity.

5. Guests/participants/donors will not receive a letter of tax deductibility from CASA unless donations are made directly to CASA or the monies involved in the event are managed by CASA. We will comply with all rules as required by the IRS for reporting the value of any goods or services received for a donation to a fundraising event.

6. If promotional assistance is required from CASA, this must be agreed to in advance and understood that CASA cannot guarantee media acceptance or press releases and material must be received well in advance in order to facilitate promotional efforts. The CASA mailing list cannot be released.

7. CASA reserves the right to approve the use of CASA’s name and logo on all event or promotional material including but not limited to: flyers, posters, promotion on websites and social media outlets. A suggested way of promoting a Third Party Fundraising effort is: Funds raised will go to support (Third Party Entity’s Name) efforts to the families at CASA.

8. Use of CASA Staff to promote the event in media, website, social media outlets, or printed material is at the discretion of the Advancement Department.

9. CASA cannot provide committee volunteers to support the event.

10. The event must comply with all municipal, county, state or federal laws/regulations.

11. The sponsoring group/individual should obtain at their expense any and all liability insurance that may be required in executing the event.

12. Day of Event support from CASA is at the discretion of CASA’s Advancement Department.

13. Must agree to the ethical use of our logo to solely raise funds and/or in-kind donations for CASA. & To use our logo only for the event listed above. & Must understand that to use our logo for any other purpose other than to raise funds and/or in-kind donations for CASA, to use our logo for any other purpose other than the event listed above, or to use our logo for a future event without returning a new third-party agreement form can be prosecuted in a court of law.
